About Women’s Health Collaborative

Women’s Health Collaborative was created to provide meaningful, continued education in the Women’s Health Pilates space. It was born from years of feedback from both instructors and clients highlighting the overwhelm, confusion, and uncertainty around exercise during pregnancy and the postnatal period.

While Pilates is widely recognised as beneficial during these stages, traditional training often overlooks the specific considerations required to teach safely and effectively.

WHC education is designed to support a new generation of health professionals who feel confident, knowledgeable, and equipped to deliver safe, evidence-informed care to pregnant and postnatal clients.

Empowering health and fitness professionals to deliver effective, beneficial, and high-quality care for women across all stages of life.

About The Founder

Claire Ryan

Women’s Health Collaborative was founded by Claire Ryan, a Women’s Health Physiotherapist, Pilates Instructor, and mother of two. Claire brings over 12 years of clinical experience, alongside a deep passion for supporting women through every stage of life.

After years of practice, she noticed the same challenges coming up again and again—confusion and overwhelm around exercise, a lack of tailored support, and a clear gap between women’s health knowledge and movement-based care.

Through her clinical work, she also saw the impact of pelvic floor dysfunction and how powerful the right kind of movement can be in helping women feel strong, supported, and in control of their bodies.

Becoming a mother herself deepened this passion even further, highlighting just how important it is for those working with women to feel knowledgeable and confident.

Women’s Health Collaborative was created to share this knowledge and support health and fitness professionals to provide high quality care for women across all stages of life.

  • Claire is passionate about staying up to date with the latest evidence to deliver benchmark education for the Women’s Health Collaborative community. She has completed extensive postgraduate training in Women’s Health and combines this with her clinical experience to inform all WHC education.

This ensures every course and workshop is evidence informed, practical, and directly applicable for health and fitness professionals.

  • When she’s not teaching or working clinically, Claire enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children. Staying active is important to her, and she aims to move her body daily—often combining running with Pilates for balance.

Based on the Gold Coast, she loves the beach lifestyle and, on the rare occasion, a long lunch with a cocktail. Though with two young children, those moments are few and far between—but one can dream.
